Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been banned from flying with British Airways after she was escorted off a flight and arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.Campbell, who was released on bail pending an investigation into the incident, said she hoped the dispute with the airline could be resolved “amicably.”When asked about a report saying she had been banned, a spokesman said: “We don’t comment in detail about matters relating to individual passengers.”"All incidents of abuse against passengers or staff are taken extremely seriously by BA and will not be tolerated. We deal with cases on an individual basis and will take whatever action we feel is necessary.” Campbell’s spokeswoman in London added: “Naomi has been flying with British Airways for nearly 30 years and has been a good customer. She hopes this can be resolved amicably.”

Naomi Campbell was released on bail after a confrontation with a police officer at Heathrow Airport’s new Terminal 5, where one of her bags was lost. Campbell left the airport police station just after midnight. London’s Metropolitan Police said she was released pending further inquiries and told to report to a police station in late May.Campbell was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an officer after police were called to a disturbance at the airport. Witnesses said Campbell was aboard a British Airways plane due to depart for Los Angeles when she became involved in a dispute because one of her bags had been lost. During the dispute, Campbell allegedly spit on the officer. Campbell’s spokeswoman, Annabel Fox, said Campbell was traveling to the U.S. to attend a memorial service and had boarded the plane when she was told one of her two checked bags was missing. British Airways “decided to resolve this by insisting she leave the flight and then called the police to forcibly eject her,” Fox claimed. Campbell has a history of assaulting assistants and employees. In 2000, she pleaded guilty in Toronto to an assault charge for beating an assistant while making a film in 1998. Under an agreement with prosecutors, Campbell expressed remorse and was released without punishment or a criminal record. In January 2007, Campbell pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault for throwing her cell phone at her maid in a dispute over a missing pair of jeans. She was ordered to do community service and attend a two-day anger-management program.

Naomi Campbell was arrested at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 5. She was reportedly taken into custody after attacking and spitting on a police officer. The uproar apparently began after Campbell discovered a piece of her luggage was missing while waiting for her British Airways flight to Los Angeles. Campbell was reportedly in the Heathrow Airport to catch a 4 p.m. flight to Los Angeles. While waiting in the first class lounge for her flight to leave, Campbell discovered that one of her carry-on bags was missing. She then reportedly demanded British Airways staff locate her bag before her flight departed. British Airways representatives offered to attempt to find the bag and send it on later if it could be located. However, this apparently was not an acceptable solution for the Campbell. According to witnesses at the scene, Campbell was “ranting and screaming” over the missing bag. When she failed to calm down, airport staff labeled her unfit to fly and requested that she leave the airport immediately. The situation only deteriorated from there.When Campbell refused to leave the airport, airport police were called to the scene to have her removed. One eyewitness said Campbell started screaming, “get off me, leave me alone” before attacking one of the officers. “She attacked a male police officer and spat at him,” the witness said. Campbell was restrained and taken to the Heathrow Airport police station. The flight she had been scheduled on departed more than an hour late as airport staff removed Campbell’s luggage and entourage from the plane. A British Airways representative confirmed a passenger was removed from a flight this morning, but would not offer any further details. A police spokesman stated that a “37 year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and is currently in detention at Heathrow police station.”
The Pussycat Dolls have been fined for being too sexy. The girl group, famed for their raunchy routines, must pay $3,400 for flashing body parts during a concert in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, last July. During the routine, Carmit Bachar, who has since left the group, exposed a breast while Ashley Roberts was accused of revealing her private parts as she danced. Promoters Absolute Entertainment were fined for allowing their act to perform “sexually suggestive” routines. The penalty was imposed by the council which manages the Kuala Lumpur suburb where the event took place. The fine followed a complaint from Malaysia’s culture minister Rais Yatim, who said the group’s concert featured “scantily dressed performers” and “sensuous elements.”"I believe the way the Pussycat Dolls behaved on stage amounted to gross indecency,” Yatime said. Under the country’s religious laws, a female performer must be covered from her shoulders to her knees. Jumping, shouting or throwing of objects onstage or at the audience are all also banned. Gwen Stefani and Beyonce Knowles were also forced to dramatically alter their dance routines and cover up during their concerts in the country.
